over half ways threw now, speed of different types of networks (including advantages and disadvantages) on LANs and WANs then the comparison of these two networks, but it does really depend on your needs out of these networks (wires all about the place no thanks). . . then it further explains the structures of these networks as well as there topology (organisation of the nodes), this can affect the speed and the cost of the network, as well as the types of networks available including mesh, star, bus and etc . . . next was routing, basic explanation as well as types of routing used in the world today, then explaining the different types of adaptive routing eg. distributed adaptive routing. then the next part of the lectures was on routing threw bridges as well as backward and address learning. . . (gave a number of useful definitions), da final part of the lecture was on peer to peer networking - alot of info on napster one of microsoft's better competitors, as well as this there was information about windows P2P networking (cudnt leave them out now lol)
