week 6

in this week's lecture we had to learn about FTP (file transfer protocol), some users of the Internet cant use this facilities depending on there isp provider ports that they use for other services like email, etc. . . there was also an in depth presentation about the OSI 7-layer model explaining each part individually . . . then the data link protocols (like general functions, frame structures and types of the protocols followed), time outs and delays . . then there was info on TCP, one the basic things needed to work in a computer for access to the internet. . . there was general info on this including service model and byte stream, then the header fields as well as how the information moves in this (flow control & congestion) . . then finally we had info on usage of the computers bandwidth, encoders and decoders (ps nice video lol).
