week 5

today there was like continuation of last week's work, more detailed in to analogue and digital signals and how information is sent along the telephone line, now from my own experience most time if in your home you can use the telephone ( but bit of static) and your Internet isn't working then there is mostly likely a problem with your micro filter ( these cause alot of are customers problems). then there was info on the troubles and limitations from and using the Internet, like security, fairness and etc . . . then congestion, but by channeling smarting and defragmentating as well as tunnel this would help reduce or even avoid this.

week 4

in todays lectures it was on binary number eg. 00101011, da kinda stuff on the matrix, but in the lecture there was a ASCII table that actually showed what some of the characters are represented by in binary code. Also was how to transfer the information into frequency, it also showed how different types of coding interprets different types of data (manchester coding) . . . LAN designs/ Topologies must popular one used is either backbone or tree, alot more organised than the others. then there was information on ALOHA & CSMA, just stating the differences and properties. finally data on WIRELESS gaming, interpreted a way of pacman could be played in real life, think that how that get the maps draw out for big graphnical games like GTA and HALO, cool to have a virtual shooting games in a city. . .

week 3

we had to hand in are first assignment for networking ( dont think i did so well), in the lecture today we learn about different protocols and the PSTN, most of this I have heard of b4 (work SKY / BT), hopefully using the info got from me training well help in the final exam, you signals arre usually sent for computer to exchange and vice-versa but the only thing I thought was missing was information of the MDF (Main distribution frame) . . . then there was info on ip addressing, funny enough if you cant browse by websites addressing you should trying ip address (192.168.0.1 - netgear router). In the practical we got to know other ip addresses as we just pinged them and done a tracer on them, used ping b4 but the software we were using today in the practicalwould save alot of trouble in work for pinging router and certain sites for customers

week 2

on this week, in the lecture there was information on the fun-damentals of communication, Na it was OK like, alot more in to the physical side of networking like sine wave, how they work, speeds and performance of them as well. w/lan's, mainly basic knowledge of these two, mainly how they operate. . . info on asynchronous/ synchronous . . . Also had to do a practical on submitting information on html, of which was useful considering I have to create a CV for the subject by the 16Th of February, creating a online CV ( crap photo) lol, done this threw notepad didnt know if we were allow to use other programs like dreamweaver, etc owell

week1

On this day I have actually decide to post my blogs online as I only start to keep them on paper form b4 this, this is because I have been kinda busy til now . . . but here is some of the stuff that i have been doing this week . . . We had to go to class for networking and learn about the history of the subject, alot of it was just like the training I have had for work in first source. Most of this was one the data communications and the needs/ types of networks that are popularly use in the world today. There was also information on tcp/ip and the language and usages of computer networks.

com347 blog

for one of my assignment for the university, i have been asked to create a maintain a blog, of which i think is OK for an assignment. Had to register, never really did a blog b4 but here she goes . . . :-)
